प्रेम: एक निबंधात्मक कविता

हिंदी अनुवाद रजनीश मंगा द्वारा
यह कहानी मुझे मेरे एक अच्छे मित्र ने सुनाई थी
और मेरे विचार से यह बेशकीमती व अत्यंत महत्वपूर्ण है
अतः उसे मैं अपने अंदाज़ में निबंध कविता के रूप में पेश कर रही हूँ:
एक नौजवान की एक गर्लफ्रेंड थी,
कभी कभी वह उसकी बातों से ऊब जाता था,
क्योंकि वह बार बार उसे सन्देश भेजती रहती थी,
वह लिखती ‘मैं तुम्हें बहुत मिस करती हूँ' या ‘मैं तुमसे बहुत प्यार करती हूँ'.
इसी तरह एक रात सोने से पहले, उसे एक सन्देश मिला,
मगर उसने उसे पढ़ा नहीं और सो गया.
सुबह उसके फोन की घंटी बजी तो वह उठ बैठा.
यह उसकी गर्लफ्रेंड की माँ थी जिसने रोते रोते,
उसे बताया कि रात में किसी ने उसकी गर्लफ्रेंड की हत्या कर दी.
उसे ज़बरदस्त सदमा पहुंचा, तब उसने सन्देश को पढ़ा
जिसमे लिखा था, "मेरे महबूब, जल्दी आओ, मुझे लगता है कि कोई मेरा पीछा कर रहा है! "
और अब वह हर दिन आता है
और एक अतिरिक्त फूल लाता है
उस स्थान पर रखने के लिए जहाँ उसकी हत्या की गयी थी.
कहानी हमें यह सीख देती है-
कभी उन लोगों की अनदेखी मत करो जो तुम्हें प्यार करते हैं, ध्यान रखते हैं और तुम तक पहुंचना चाहते हैं,
क्योंकि एक दिन तुम महसूस करोगे कि तुमने तारों को गिनने के चक्कर में चाँद को खो दिया है!

I have heard this from a good friend
and I regard that story as precious and very important
so I have mine like this in an Essay Poem:
A young man had a girlfriend,
he was getting tired of her,
because she sent him messages every hour,
that said "I miss you" or "I love you".
One night before bedtime, he received a message,
but rather than read it, he went to sleep.
In the morning he was awakened by a call.
It was his girlfriend's mother crying,
saying that his girlfriend was killed last night.
He was in a state of shock, went to read the message:
"My sweetheart, come quickly, I think someone is following me! ".
And Now Every Day He Comes
And Brings One Extra Flower
To The Spot Where She Was Murdered.
Moral of the story:
Never reject those who love, care, and try to reach out to you,
because one day you'll realize you lost the moon while counting the stars!
