An Ode To Autumn Poem by Kwai Chee Low

An Ode To Autumn

Autumn is here.
Trees mourn,
shedding their leaves
of gold and red.
Falling, gently caressed
by the autumn breeze.

I walk amidst the trees.
They are conversing,
thin branches waving,
in tune with the wind.
Even as migrating birds fly
to the land of summer.

Summer's gone,
without saying goodbye.
I miss its warmth
and joyful cries
of children in hopscotch fun.

Autumn brings sadness,
in nature's eternal play.
Seasons come and go,
sweet memories and bad.
Relentlessly time just flows.
