An Ordinary Day... Poem by David Wood

An Ordinary Day...

Rating: 5.0

The sun is up and it's a fine
Winters day, even at 4º C
The washing is on the line
And I'm sitting in the winter
Sun getting my vitamin D
Despite people walking past
Dressed for winter.

Oh Holy Night is playing on
My iPhone and I'm watching
The blackbirds eating the
Bread I put out on the grass
Opposite my house. A cycle
Ride beckons this afternoon
Before the temperature drops.

Reading this poem was so calming, David. And has motivated me to return to riding my Life Cycle. Too cold for the real McCoy! Wishing you Good Health, David!

The beauty of a simple day! There's pleasure in small things. A picture of peace and calm. Hope you enjoyed the day!

Such great flow, the descriptive peace, contagious. Moments like these are so needed! We thank you, so!

Alas, the cycle ride didn't materialise. A 10 minute doctors appointment went into 2 hours as a test wasn't done properly. Ah well, try again tomorrow….
