Ana's Love Poem by William Ryan

Ana's Love

Ana it took so long for us to meet,
And your love I will always greet,
That lovely face as I opened the door,
I don't see it any more,
When you left you took my heart,
My world has slowly fallen apart,
Never sure what I could ever do,
To once again be with you,
I would paint a picture and cut off an ear,
If I thought that would bring you near,
I could give up everything new and old,
If just once more you I could hold,
It's for you that I pray,
Each and every single day,
Your world in gold I would have paved,
If your precious Love I could have saved,
Many people wish and dream,
About the Love with you I have seen,
Maybe I should just count myself as blessed,
To once have had Love better than I could have guessed,
Yet I still sit all alone,
Hoping one day that you phone,
Or for that knock on the door,
Only to see you there once more,
Ana it was so hard to say Goodbye,
And for you I still cry,
Without the love only you can bring,
Life doesn't mean a single thing!
