AND HOW CAN IT BE

THIS PERSON I LOVED ONCE DEEP DOWN IN MY SOUL IS NOW MISSING
I DO NOT KNOW WHAT I'M TO DO
I'M LOST DESPONDENT AND MY MIND IS FAR OFF IN ANOTHER DIMENSION
I TRY TO GO ON BUT NOTHING SEEMS TO GRAB MY ATTENTION
PEOPLE AMONGST ME FILL ME UP WITH LIES
I TRY TO BUILD MYSELF UP BUT ALL I CAN DO IS CRY
BITTERNESS, SORROW, AND DELUSIONS ALL BOTTLED UP INSIDE
SEEKING PEACE WHEN THERE SEEMS TO BE NO WHERE TO HIDE
I TRY TO RELY ON MY FAITH BUT IT'S VISIBLY EXTINCT
HOW WILL I OVERCOME?
THE SOLUTION IS PAINFULLY INDISTINCT
TRY TO BLINK MY EYES TO SEE IF ITS JUST ILLUSIONS
AS REALITY SETS IN EVERYTHING APPEARS TO BE ELUSIVELY CONFUSING
WITH NO CONCLUSIONS, MORE COMPLICATIONS, ABSURD ACCUSATIONS, RIDICULOUS INFERENCE, AND COMPLEX SITUATIONS
AWAITING THE DAY TO REUNITE WITH MY EMANCIPATION

This piece really hits home with me. As one who suffered from depression during and after my divorce; this reminds me of how far I have come.
