MY FRIEND

THAT WAS SOMEBODY CHILD
THAT WAS SOMEBODY FRIEND
BEAUTY CONSIST OF QUALITY SO OF COURSE, IT NEVER ENDS
THINGS WE STILL HAVE THAT WE NO LONGER SEE
I KNOW YOU'RE SITTING IN HEAVEN LOOKING DOWN UPON ME
I REMEMBER IT ALL ESPECIALLY, YOUR FACE
EMBEDDED DEEP WITHIN MY HEART BUT FRIENDSHIP CAN'T BE REPLACED
I HAVE THINGS TO COMPLETE BUT I WILL SEE YOU LATER ON
WHEN WE REUNITE YOU CAN OBSERVE HOW MUCH I HAVE GROWN
I WILL STAY FIRM BUT YOUR LIGHT WAS SO TENDER
I WILL LOVE LIFE & WITH LOVE BE GENTLE

Poem of the Day

poet Dante Gabriel Rossetti

Young Love lies sleeping
In May-time of the year,
Among the lilies,
Lapped in the tender light:
White lambs come grazing,
White doves come building there:
