And There Is A Dance For Two People Poem by Windsor Guadalupe Jr

And There Is A Dance For Two People

In my caliginosity,
The sluggish waltz
In a razed elbow room
Is a dance for two people,
But then the vicissitude,
The sound of the crickets
The dissonances of the machineries
Have rendered me whole and intimate
With the abandonment that I feel,
And so, there is a dance for two people
In my head, where the somber and the morose
Gyrate with the clouds and wither with the roses,
And yes, the dance for two people
Seems like a waltz – a poised one
Between I, and the mirror
As I think of you.
