And There You Were Poem by Jodie Mayhew

And There You Were

Out of my darkness came your light
You took all my wrongs and turned them to right
You held out your hand when ı was weak
You gave me a voice when ı could not speak
Your arms full of love gave me someone to hold
Giving me warmth from my lifes' bitter cold

Out of my emptinessyou made me whole
Food for my stomach food for my soul
You gave me a platform from which ı could rise
Instilled me with truth when ı'd only heard lies
Your demeanour; serene so patient so kind
Taught me ı'm worthy of love and of life

Out of my turmoil ı somehow found you
You showed me a side of life..ı never knew
I wish you were here but your angel wings soar
For me ı regret not telling you more
But somehow ı know that wherever you fly
You're smiling at me from your heavenly sky!
