And We're Living Here, On Earth, Tonight Poem by Colin Coplin

And We're Living Here, On Earth, Tonight

The planets are aligned, you can feel them marking time
And if you listen very hard, you can hear the sound of the stars
In a moment locked in time, their music is sublime
And we're living here, on Earth, tonight

Where the desert, needs the rain, to renew life once again
And the sailor needs the wind, to bring him home again
I'm an atom, stopped in time, it's true
I need no other, the way I need you
And we're living here, on Earth, tonight

Did I see you dance across the face of the sun
Just before you landed like a falling star
Look back over your shoulder
You will find me there, no matter where you are

I'm an atom, stopped in time, it's true
I need no other, the way I need you
And we're living here, on Earth, tonight

The planets are aligned, you can feel them marking time
And if you listen very hard, you can hear the sound of the stars
In a moment locked in time, their music is sublime
And we're living here, on Earth, tonight

Where the surfer, needs the wave, to cut through and be brave
And the child yearns for the shore, to build castles and explore
I'm an atom, stopped in time, it's true
I need no other, the way I need you
And we're living here, on earth, tonight

Did I see you dance across the face of the sun
Just before you landed like a falling star
Look back over your shoulder
You will find me there, no matter where you are
