Kayla Jacobs

Angel - Poem by Kayla Jacobs

i dont know if my heart will get through to you
sleeping here without you
wrapping my pillows around me
pretending its you
closing my eyes
whispering to the dark
as if they are my friend
smiling as i think i hear your voice
turning around on my bed
reaching out for you
only to wrap my fingers in the softness of my feathered pillow
opening my eyes
to see if i was wrong
seeing the disappointment on my face
to know your gone
an angel just for my dreams
making me wish it was you
