Angel Poem by brian naugher

Angel

Rating: 5.0

I sat alone one long cold night, an Angel came my way,
She brought a smile, she made me laugh, with what she had to say.
Then 'come with me' she softly said, as she opened up a door,
And led me to this wonderful place I had never seen before.

This place was full of happiness, no sorrow, or no pain.
I loved it there 'oh so much, I wanted to remain.
'I'm sorry no! ' the Angel said. 'That is something you can't do'
'But come and visit anytime, I'll still be here for you'

The door once more was opened, reluctantly I walked back through,
With tearful eyes and a heavy heart, but deep inside I knew.
The Angel spoke with truthful words - I still remember them today.
For I never will forget that night, an Angel came my way.
