It does not matter what kind of animal it may be
But gaining their trust is the key.
They have keen senses which let them know
If you are friend or foe.
There are lessons that the animals can give
Showing that together we can live.
They have more compassion than many of us do
And will show it through and through.
They recall moments you shared and how your love filled the air.
A little touch, a hug, a smile makes their trust all worthwhile.
They'll defend you to the end for you have become their best friend.

And even bears too.
Dogs and cats are the common trend and will love you till the end.
They may greet you at the door or sit next to you
This is the thing they love to do.
Love your animal, cause that's the way it should be for they are now family.
