Love does hurt.
That does sound strange.
Such pain should not be in range.

My heart was at peace before you came.
Now I am frantically in disdain.

I don't know why I choose you.
I did and now it feels all untrue.

I introduced you to my mother.
I spoke to you of my father.

I held onto you in your worst times.
Now it is time to let you go as I go through mines.

I never wanted us to end.
I wanted us to be forever but not in pretend.

Now I feel like I don't know.
Being this way hurts to show.
This is a whole new type of low.
