Another Day Poem by Paul Price

Another Day

The days are hot
The nights are cold
I sit there wearing this weight
Wondering what will happen next,
Wondering if the next attack,
Will be my last.
The mortars in the distance,
They seem to be calming anymore.
The mortars get closer,
Next, People running, Gun fire,
Will this be the end?
I pray to God, 'Save me from the Hell'
It gets quiet,
The gun fire is no more,
Mortars off in the distance again,
Its just another day.
