from "While Passing Through"/Spring
Spring wind puffs—branch nods—
just as I was wondering
if earth itself breathes.
hey, smoky! good to hear from you. thanks for reading and commenting. hope this finds you tip top. -glen
A beautiful piece! Just maybe, the answers to our questions are all around us - if only we are open enough to receive them.
hey, nika! thanks! yes, i think some are. at this stage in my life, the questions seem most important. they lead to wondering and inquiry—and i love learning. the world, including the people on it, are so fascinating! -glen
hi, rini! and thank you! to say a bit more, i was thinking about the autonomic functions of our bodies, including breathing, when i wondered if earth has such functions too, ways to sustain and heal itself that might give us hope for the future. may it be. -glen

When trees and leaves sway in the wind, we feel that the EARTH IS BREATHING! Yes, I too sense this breathing! Beautiful Haiku!
thank you, valsa. as in this poem i wonder about the life all around us that goes as do the autonomic functions in our bodies but of which we're unaware. and i hope they are there and helping to heal what we people have despoiled. peace. -glen
