Answer To Seek Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Answer To Seek

Rating: 5.0

I prayed sincerely
And sang few verses happily
It was not out of curiosity
Or daily practice to almighty

I used to visit holy place
Knell down on knees with face down
In tears to hide emotions
As mind was used to be filled with questions

I have read and re-read many books
On religious and philosophical lines but only to shake
Head but not in conformity with whatever was written
All thoughts had some flavor but something was hidden

I will only find divine light
Yes, yes that was only right
Spiritually I used to confess
With all kind of readiness

Yet it puzzled me
It will not make me feel free
There was something missing in it
Kind of sentiments for others to greet

I thought we are loosing kindness
We are adopting double standard on face
We perform what we are not intending to
But inform them what we are pretending too

We are here, no doubt, on mission
But we all do something with guilt admission
Console heart that it is out of compulsion
But in fact it is out of ignorance and confusion

So I have tears in eyes
Even if I desperately try
They rush on cheeks
As I try more answers and seek
