Apart, Alone; … Together Poem by Za Italian Buffon

Apart, Alone; … Together

Rating: 5.0

Apart with you,
a whole year through
did the flame
go away?
Or burn me?

Did I escape?
Or forgot you?

Things I thought gone,
are now away;
away inside,
deep in me.

I only want to stay alive,
alive in you,
in me,
would I?

Can I not answer those eyes?
So inviting,
so true,
so love.

Love!
The only word I hear
dwelling in your talking eyes,

'Are you not through with me? '
Each time I hear, see,
the same word:
'Love'

I set close to you
and wonder:
why is time like this?
Can't he stop, pause?
Just for once.

Can't he see you,
your talking eyes?
Sure he can hear them.

Well, is it ok, time?
To take all my life,
all that's yet to come,
the good things
waiting for me,
what else of love
yet to be
… and just keep this moment
forever alive.

Or is it possible,
that I, she, lives
the past again?
And something,
just something, may change.

'Again! '
what a plentiful word!
again
to set again
close to you,
and listen
just listen again
one more time,
forever again,
… to your talking eyes.
