Are We Too Late To Save The World? Poem by Denis Martindale

Are We Too Late To Save The World?

Are we too late to save the world,
Composed of lands and seas?
Or is this fate not overturned
Such that we get no peace?

With Mankind killing every day
The creatures that God made,
Extinction's now or on its way,
Each time we disobeyed.

The fish condemned no more to swim,
The birds no more to fly,
No wonder that God's face looks grim
Each time His creatures die.

Why then should God let Mankind thrive
As if to celebrate?
When other creatures won't survive,
I ask, is it too late?
