Arise And Lay Poem by Leanne Brigoli

Arise And Lay

Even nightfall can't extinguish
Still, your glory gleams
Penetrating every hidden corner
Until the daybreak surface

My day has started, I arise
Praise to you oh, Lord!
Your rudder navigates my path
Wherever my feet would go

When the world tells you to insist
God commands you to resist
It is not to show weakness
But to follow His perfectness

You showed them that you are tough
You told them that you are bold
But at the end of the day
God knows your heart needs to lay.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Vulnerability is humility before God. Start with Him and end with Him everyday. Being able to acknowledge that you are weak is not weakness at all. It simply shows that your weakness is God's way of parting His strength upon you. You need God's peace and calmness amidst chaos around you. You need God's tranquility over every anxious thoughts keeping you awake. You don't need to hide it before God. He knows your head needs to lay.
