Art Poem by Luke Butler

Art

Art though art, I ask with thought,
When I read into current art, I think naught,
It does not make me feel, no that would be too hard,
It does not change my world, I hold it in oh so little regard,
Art though art, I ask with thought,
When I read you there are no answers, in which I sought,
It does not make me happy, with a whimsical rhyme,
It does not make me think, it is a waste of time,
Art though art, I ask with thought,
You have no rules, you make me distraught,
But if you lead one to light, are you good some ask,
No, No, that is not your task,
When you break the rules there must be meaning,
You must still have rules, however, or the purpose is weaning,
When you break the rules make it stick,
Use a metaphor, a simile, or if it's bad, make it quick
