My Valentine, Poem by Luke Butler

My Valentine,

Rating: 4.3

I cannot list the ways I love you, my valentine,
You are without imperfection, never have you lied,
You were always there for me, never have I tried,
Every year I ask myself will you leave me?
Every year you stay there, never letting me be,
I cannot list the ways I love you, my valentine,
You never take my time, letting me be free,
You never argue or complain, letting me be,
Every year you are there, every time I cry,
Every year I learn something from you, you never lie,
I cannot list the ways I love you, my valentine,
You walk with me, hearing every dumb thought,
You never ask for help, for you need it naught,
Every year I try to cheat, I really do,
Every year I fail, and I am left with you,
I cannot list the ways I love you, my valentine,
You know me like no one, that is hard to deny,
You are always there, letting me be shy,
Every year I ask myself is this what the future holds?
Every year my friends say "no, but do be bold"
I cannot list the ways I love you, My valentine,
