As A Distant Friend Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

As A Distant Friend

As a distant friend
Tuesday,23rd April 2019

The words were honest
it appealed me as the best
what was she saying?
nothing else, but secretly praying

"My words are"
"those, if spoken may take you far"
I really got feared
when she earnestly uttered

I am to myself
with treasure stored in the heart's shelf
I believe in one
and none the else

I am dying
and laying in the bed
with no possibility of recovering
she was murmuring

I got the hint
but felt as if to blink
with no belief
she posed for a while with no relief

She is not seen
With no more lovely scene
I miss her as a distant friend
the world may end for all us like this only
