As I Fall Poem by Eric Rhodes

At times when my ego
is disillusioned with its lot
and screams out in surrender,
they are the moments, my love,
when I feel the warmth
of your arms supporting me.
I can feel your breath
as you whisper to me,
you will always be there
to catch my fall.
Your angelic beauty
is indescribable,
yet I see you
everywhere I look.
I will prostrate myself
in humility forevermore
just to feel
your touch of love
as I fall.
