Deep into I trod, upon the leaf-strewn path
Snaking through the dewy trees, beneath the breaking dawn.
Toward the sun I gaze and let it warm my face;
Sinking into my heart, it filled me up with warmth.
I heard the leaves rustled and tiny branches snapped.
As the morning mist went undone, I carried on.
Then the cool wind stirred and chilled my hand awhile.
Hollowing into my soul, it froze me hard and cold.
The clouds gathered and raindrops fell from afar;
Sending drizzles on my clothes, it left me drenched alone.
I don't understand, how the raindrops
Tasted sour upon my lips when it came watery, crystal clear.
I heard the voices said 'Look up into the sky',
But so engrossed upon myself I couldn't care.
Yet when the breeze came scented sweet,
I turned to look at the rainbow arched before me.
