As Me Poem by Rachel Brewer

As Me

Rating: 5.0

Now I’m gone.
My memory rests with you.
Remember me the way I was.
As me.

Remember all the times we shared,
Remember the laughter and fun.
Please don’t forget those times,
Try to remember the best in me.

I hope I did you proud.
I wish I could have done more.
But I want you to remember me,
As me.

Remember the time we went to the beach?
Or the time we went to the park?
Or what about the time we stayed out of the rain,
Under the tree in the garden?

These are the things I want you to think about,
Whenever someone says my name.
I want you to remember me,
As me.

Remember when I wrote you that song?
Or when I tried to write the music too?
Or what about that awful poem!
When I made you cry with laughter.

Now I’m gone.
My memory rests with you.
Remember me the way I was.
As me.
