As the Nigh' Goes On

As the nigh' goes in,
I'm all alone,
waiting for someone
to have- to hold.
I'm all alone,
dreaming of you,
wanting you by my side,
if only you knew.
Dreaming of you,
wishing you were here,
all I want,
is for you to be near.
Wishing you were here,
to make me smile once more,
get lost in those eyes,
and find the light I've been looking for.
To make me smile once more,
wanting you by my side,
for you to be near,
as the nigh' goes on.

Whate'er we leave to God, God does,
And blesses us;
The work we choose should be our own,
God leaves alone.
