As The Sun Poem by Denzil Straight

As The Sun

As the sun gently falls and the moon starts to rise.
So to does the Passion of the night.
The moonlight settles on the snow,
bathing it with its soft glow.
It makes the land appear to
be covered with Diamonds my love.
The sparkle of the moonlight on the snow,
does not even compare to the
sparkle in your eyes.
The glow of the moon is cast aside by
your beauty. The moonlight bounces
and jumps, trying hard to capture your beauty.
But even the moonlight cannot compete
with your beauty while standing in
the moonlights soft glow, my love.
For soon the sun will rise
and the moon will set.
The diamonds in the snow
soon will know of Dawns harsh reality.
