As You Wish Poem by Ryan Tyer

As You Wish

As I sit in this prison
Alone once again
No one here to comfort me
Solitude my only friend
There is no one else to blame
On my shoulders it must reside
For I battle an enemy
The Demon's I carry inside
They eat away at my thoughts
They poison, they infect
Against their power I am helpless
With all I am I protect
My sanity
Like a witness to a crime
The victim is us
Your heart and mine
Our love is threatened
My heart filled with dread
Its hard to fight an enemy
With outposts in your head
But with so much to lose
I will stand my ground
I will take no prisoners
No one alive will be found
For a life devoid of your love
Is far worse than any hell
I must not be defeated
My soul I will not sell
Many things in life
Are up for interpretation
But one thing I know for sure
Is that you are my salvation
You lift me up
From the depths of my sorrow
You make today the best
And give hope of a better tomorrow
So I make this vow
Before you, me, and God himself
I will stand by your side
Through sickness and in health
Through sorrow and sadness
To happiness and bliss
If what you want is eternity
As you wish.
