Ask The Poppy Poem by Wojciech D Kolesnik

Ask The Poppy

I ask no one to die for my freedom,
sons n daughters returning in coffins
fighting
for a line in the desert
and fanatical affairs of others

every poppy carried a weapon
show me where blood overcame evil
and I'll show you a mother hugging a photo
grieving widow asking the poppy
when you coming home?
