Too far away the soul will seek
To claim that which his heart has yearned
And leave the fragile body weak
And leave the mind and spirit burned
Release yourself of internal chains
Unveil your eyes from clouded sight
Shed troubles and your earthly pains
Then fly in freedom through the night
The heart will break and seldom mend
By craving all that can’t be met
Don’t strive beyond horizon’s end
Seek not for all you cannot get
Do not aspire to soar the sky
Hold not the dreams that cannot be
Nor hope for where the dreamers lie
Be now content and ever free
Golden chests lie unexplored
But in your hand a treasure clasped
As all that’s measured is your reward
All that’s measured you have grasped
