Assure me that you're one of the good guys
that using me is far from your mind
Assure me that our time together
is not shared with these other girls
because honey, I have that feeling..
Assure me that you still care for me
like that time you passionately looked into my eyes
and promised to save me if I was drowning
Assure me that “us” is still something you want to pursuit
'cause, baby, I'll be right by your side.
But if none of those are part of your plan,
then assure me that you won't make me fall too hard
to just have me be disappointed again.
