Astrophysics And Rats

Rating: 4.0

Rats have evolved to eat green peaches
that are not even on the turn
(have not passed the event horizon)
and which have no use for a human being.

Yet all is not lost:
plums must just pass that event
to be edible to rats,
and plums just past that
can be picked and cooked
by a human
then turned into a drink
with salt and cumin.

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

Good poem. I love Aam Panna, made of raw mangoes. And would love to know how it tastes with plums in place of mangoes. Good attempt
