At Distance Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

At Distance

Rating: 2.8

He stood at the distance
Kept silence and with concern
Did not want me even at once
Waited for me impatiently to turn

I glanced at him and felt sorry
He was laden with worry
May be in gloom state
Cursing his bad luck and fate

I have soft corner
For him to be a good lover
But he spoiled it for nothing
I had dreamt for something

He did not rise to the occasion
Lived all the time with confusion
Trust had no place in his mind
Even though he was gentleman and kind

I could see remorse lines
Previously his face used to shine
With all signs of happiness
Now he has dry face

I can no longer make him to wait
It may get even worse to be late
“He should be heard and given chance”
I thought over it seriously at once

Man must have calm nature
Think of course and future
Time does not come again
Else it may land you in pain
