At The Beach Poem by Charlotte Gunther

At The Beach

At the beach

At the beach Ocean and Earth wrestle
Ocean draws back, roars and pounds
Earth unyielding merely rebounds

Neither prevails

While aloft Sun and Wind engage in wit
Sun's silent strength pours down heat
Wind's insistent breath blows it away

Neither avails

I walked into this conflict
A debate over who is strongest
And immediately I felt at rest

I surrendered

Feeling His Hand under my feet
Hearing His Breath awaken the Deep
Seeing His Eye pierce the Heavens

I was centered

Breathing it all in
I could add nothing to this awful display
Like Earth, I could only rest and enjoy

I was content

Neither prevails! With muse of creation. Nice piece of work.
