At The Penshurst Hotel Poem by Francis Duggan

At The Penshurst Hotel

For a story teller a great story to tell
Of Saturday night at the Penshurst Hotel
To the Sha Boom rock band the patrons dance and sing along
To many a loved tune and familiar song.

On Saturday night at the Penshurst Hotel good humor abound
And not an unhappy one here to be found
The young and not so young their night out enjoy
Be happy in life for we soon age and die.

A stranger in Penshurst you never could be
Don't matter if you come from a far Country
At their local pub they sell a good beer
And the music, dance and song makes for a good atmosphere.

Saturday night in Penshurst the atmosphere is great
And a hard week's work done the locals celebrate
And everyone is happy of their life's cares making light
At the Penshurst hotel on a saturday night.
