Atomic Fall Poem by Zachary Hoyt

Atomic Fall

No one saw it coming.
all they could do was to start running
when they stoped all they could hear was humming
and then quietness
then boom absolute nothing

Then missiles flood the sky.
every bird off to die.
atom bombs reign the plains.
nuclear attacks against the terrain.
people in shelters.
people in the streets.
everyone fled.
but now there all dead.

The smell of rotting flesh.
the smell of decaying corpses.
the smell of blood soken soil.
this reached smell engulfs the world.
forever more will there be no peace.

It was the annihilation of the human race.
nothing left but a single trace.
we were once the great race.
we couldn't ask for a better place.
in the end we were the damnation
Bombs set off by fighing nations.
the singe button pressed by anger and hate.
every one and no one can relate.
but who ever can pay the toll could control.
but it was all to late.

It couldve been resolved.
but we decided to listen to lies!
power fueled by anger all we shouldve done was try.
and now all he does is cry.
forever more forever more.
there will be absolute darkness forever more.
and nothing more.
