Seems there’s an art to
this dying,
slash up down sideways
How many pills to ingest.
The combination required.
Elapsed time needed before
your body could be found,
so that EMS can’t revive you.

tubes in mouth
stomach being pumped.
EMS moving around that gurney
telling me how lucky I was
to still be alive.
I killed myself,

Clinically dead for six minutes.
Apparently is not
the running start needed
to stay dead forever.
