Attitude Poem by Imaobong Akan

Attitude

Like a silent weapon,
Not heard by voice but action,
Though covered with the body;
It speaks faster than the body.

Like a woman’s pregnancy,
Hides, but for a little time
In due time births habit: sauciness or decency
According to the mind’s clime.

It is mortals’ free possession.
On daily basis, with different manifestation;
revealing secrets of the mind,
so the world may judge how it is signed.

Attitude is the driver of life’s altitude,
Promoter of life’s magnitude.
Blessed with the power to make or mar
As with its expressed manner.
