Autumn Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Autumn

Autumn

Waving hand, chill, at door
-hideously informs:
- "Celebrate the Autumn."

In grey, dark sky, three dots
-sing, siren and whine, hunk.

Quack geese, Canada's.

Among them a lonely and loveless
-that has lost partner to a car accident
-and is last of a "V-Formation";
-trails its old friends, to migrate
-and team is led by male of couple.

Painted are night skies;
-constellations, stars
-taking shapes from dots
-scattered in distance
-in designs, formations.

In a V-Formation, single child
-is at end following its parents;
-in middle is Mother.

"Things have changed…
-then couples laid more eggs
-all hatched and grew safe,
-so, a two turned many in return."

Said mother; gosling's, complained.

In sky, far away, the stars
-of the birds, in flight,
-resembled a late dawn,
-rest rarely came to sight…

Explained Bird-Watcher:
- "In the past, in summers
-the birds were increased
-but no more; they decrease! "
