Awesome Airfare Prices Must Be Stabilized - A Global Need Poem by Jacson Gelato

Airlines always hiking their ticket-fares
over the years
but now it tis time to ask
-When fuel prices are not rocketing
why are airlines rocketing their airfares?
what shall we call it
global fleecing or global warming?
The journey is the same
the plane is the same
the ticket is the same
but the airlines charge excess money
if you want to purchase
your ticket at Christmas time
and if you want to go back home
to hug your old parents
who wait to see you
with an empty heart
and a rosary in their hands
praying that their son or daughter
will get home for Christmas
but it all becomes a wishful thinking
as passengers have to pay higher fares
for the same tickets than the fares
that normally exist for other days.
And as the airfare is hiked
due to the rush of many people
who want to fly home for Christmas,
many cannot afford the hike in the air fares,
so their dreams remain incomplete
as to book a seat at Christmas time or summer time
it is like puzzle you cannot solve
as the airlines always informs
that all tickets are either pre-booked
many months in advance
or that the tickets are fully sold out
and who knows what to believe and what not
as the airlines themselves can hold back those seats
and sell them at a premium price
when there is a high demand.
This graph of airfare hike keeps happening
year after year inconveniencing people
whether it is at Christmas they want to travel
or whether it is the summer vacation
they want to enjoy with their families;
and as summer holidays are considered
the best time for families to take their breaks,
the airlines takes advantage of such opportunity
and decided to hike the airfares
to double up their money
and make huge profits for their airlines.
The hike in the airfares rises to such an extent
that it is impossible to purchase a seat
and fulfill the travel plans which are so appeasing
to those who work the entire year
and wait for holidays to spend time in unity.
What is indeed more appalling is that
the airlines want to make use
of the same aircrafts to increase their profits
and use the same measure of fuel
to cover the same journeys
and the increased air fare is like a parody
where helpless travelers plans fall in jeopardy
as the high ticket fare is beyond one's capacity.
Yet the problem can be best solved
if the airlines takes the initiative to increase
their fleet of planes to meet the rush of people
and adheres to charge regular fares
as it feels so discriminating when only
the rich can afford those exorbitant fares
while those who cannot, have to do a curtsy.
Airlines must vouch to provide better services
to travelers by foremost keeping airfare steady
not over-charging the common man;
high airfares compel people to restrict air-travel
and when there is no increase in the fuel prices,
airlines need not increase their ticket fares;
or they must be asked to explain their reasons
or they must be directed by law
why their fares suddenly go beyond normal charges
as it must not compel people to pay surplus charges
when on other days the fares are nominal.
And when, at this time, there urgency to fly out
and get to safety as a virus is infecting
so many people all over the world,
the international airlines are turning a blind eye
to such situation and not offering nominal fares
to get people on board their aircrafts
and get home not only for Christmas but also to safety.
