Staring at the stars
On a cold winter's night
Billions of sparkling diamonds
Make a very beautiful sight

I stare in amazement
At the number of stars I see
While wars rage around the world
How can this beauty before me be?

While I enjoy peace around me
Amazed by the beauty before my eyes
I can't help but wonder somewhere far away
People in war torn cities can only cry

Perhaps one day, we'll find a way
To have all fighting cease
Then maybe one day they to will see
What it's like to live in peace

Then one day they can enjoy
The beauty of stars in the night
I think they to will be amazed
At this awesome beautiful sight
