B.S. Mind Feeders Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

B.S. Mind Feeders

Who has not been,
At one time or another...
Undeserving to be fed,
Nonsense to accept it.
To believe then spread.
As a willing yet unknowing victim.
Being served a bunch of bull.
With a relying on it for more.
To occupy their unconscious heads.

Who has not been thought,
Easy to convince.
Whatever it is they are told,
Will be repeated.
Without a shred of existing evidence.
Or known to be thoughtless to care,
Of truth to discover...
Before they open their mouths to others.
Others also quick to pass judgement.

Yet...not to be accused at all.
Or accused to be instigators.
Liars, deceivers and game players.
Are the B.S. mind feeders.
Doing what they do to hoodwink and dupe.
Strategically planning,
Who it will be they next choose as fools.
To initiate with gossip juiced.
Sipped then poured into ears seduced.

"I am loving THIS!
Where on Earth did you first get it?
This is some delicious stuff."

-Isn't?
When I first got a whiff of it.
I knew immediately,
I had to add something else to it.-

"Oh?
And what did you add? "

-My special recipe.
And don't ask me for it either.
Just enjoy it for what it is.-

"So...
Continue.
What else did you hear happened? "

-Well...
You know me.
I'm not your average gossip starter.
For whatever the reason,
God just wants me to know stuff.
You know what I'm saying?
Well, anyway...
And keep this between you and me.
But...
And you won't believe this.
I heard...
When minding my own business too!
I heard...-

"No...way! ? "

-God was there!
Telling me to get closer to hear more.-
