Bacon Poem by Randy McClave

Bacon

I love to hear you sizzle while I watch you fry
With your sweet aroma filling up the room
I close my eyes and my lips are dry
From the anticipation that to me does loom.
I wait and wait for you to be done
So, I can place you upon my dinner plate
And then your sweet flavor will be upon my tongue
It's a destiny and pleasure that I can hardly wait.
You're in my thoughts every second of everyday
When I wake up, and when I go to sleep at night
I think of different ways for you to be displayed
As you bring me happiness, joy and delight.
I love you with all of my heart and soul
But, so sadly to many you are forsaken
Without you in my life and diet I wouldn't be whole
How I love you and need you; my bacon.
