Waqt gujra pal beeta
Waqt ki gujarish me dil dooba
Nam ho gaya ye dil jab yaad aaye wo pal
Yaadon ki kashtiyo per baithker tiara

Waqt ke saath din gujra
Yaaro ke saath din ka na pata
Shaitaniyo me kata ye waqt sara
Gunjaisho ke baad bhi na pal aaya dobara

Yaadon par yaad aati hai un dino ki
Jab dil tha ek nadaan bachcha
Na kal ki chinta thi na aaj ka dar
Bas karte the hum dinbhar hulchul

Phoola tha phool wo murjha gaya
Yaaron se door na jaane wo kanha gaya
Kaise paun me uska pata
Yaar wo mujhse door bahut door chala gaya

Samay ki bela hai ajeeb
Kasmkash bhari dastaan gambheer
Apne saath le gaya wo jag sara
Waqt ne mujhe naya jivan daan diya

Poem of the Day

poet Robert William Service

Three times I had the lust to kill,
To clutch a throat so young and fair,
And squeeze with all my might until
No breath of being lingered there.
Three times I drove the demon out,
