Battleground Poem by Timothy McPoetry

Battleground

Rating: 5.0

Floppy ears entwine the eyes of youth
Spinning tornado enraptures
The birds flee from their would-be consumers
All of this p-p-p-pleases the y-y-y-youth

Or do the ears take the cake?
The faithful dog
And the foolish one
The insecure waterfowl and his reluctant love for his kin

On the battleground vying for the attention of youth and parental dollars
Who will win?
Is it the Brothers Warner or Walt
