this is the situation
of either this or that

there is no or, here, there
is no other choice but to
choose

and you shall be confronted
with this where you shall be
thoroughly shaken and you feel
like everything in you is falling
down to the abyss of incalculable
emptiness

you do not die
you confront it
you lose everything
and you find finally
yourself alone in
this struggle

at first you detest it
you rebel
why me? you ask, and you
ask foolishly

and then you return to your
senses as though you find
yourself finally in that old
happy home

you do not intend to be happy
but now you are.

be glad then for the moment
it is the only one you have.
