Be Gone Ye Flannel Purveyors! Poem by C H Sund

Be Gone Ye Flannel Purveyors!

Honey, I love you….love you a lot.
Have always loved you… will always too.
But Honey…Honey please, tell me why?
Why you wear those damn flannel PJs!

Such a gorgeous face, so lovely indeed
and a body delicious in its curving curves
stuck in a lumberjack’s suit, three sizes large!
Tell me how to rid Paul Bunyan visions?

Now I am not asking you to wear a teddy
or a piece of string with patches…
but flannel? Please…maybe another blanket,
cause my imagination is… flannelled out!
