Beautifully Torn

She laughed.
It was the saddest laugh I've ever seen in life.
Never once in a lifetime have I witness such sorrowful laugh.
She was there laughing but I could feel her heart screaming.
As if it were being ripped off by claws of a monster.
I could feel great emptiness in that laugh.
I could hear the heart yelling and feel it struggling.
It's begging and pleading for everything to stop hurting it.
It's breaking apart.
And then I look again.
The girl was still laughing.
Later, her laugh faded.
And the last thing I saw was a tear streaming down her cheeks.
Yet, she was still smiling.
Staring at the stars above, knowing she's alone.
That it's all empty;
Falling, shattering...
