Because Of Dreams Poem by Masa MbathaOpasha

Because Of Dreams

BECAUSE OF DREAMS

Life is a sea of emotions.
We flash and yearn
for everything there is.
No person nor event
has the power to harm us
Without our permission
On the altar of our inner selves.
We’re born to unveil our hopes,
Sufferings to hide our joys,
Sorrows to wish peace and happiness,
Wounds to learn to heal,
A breathing mystery
in the eyes of a woman,
A roaring thunder
in the heart of a man.
Shake yourself! Get going! Move out!
Don’t believe, refuse the glittering,
Stand on the integrity of your own mind,
Don’t cling to small things
If your plan’s for great things.
Awareness sounds
the battle cry of freedom.
Be capable of being pleased.
We live and die because of dreams!
