Because Of Today Poem by Tea Kawana

I’m alive because of today:
about more than two thousand years ago
something amazing happened.
Today, then, it was a terrible time
that as much as my mind would try
to picture; it wouldn’t match up.

I have peace because of
You, my Saviour, Lord Jes5us Christ.

I know that I can’t give to You
the way you give to me,
which should never be compared
because I am mere man.
But I will give You what I
can and remember.
